Christmas dinner and dance at the Burford Bridge,

"Oh, what a night, Late December back in '63. What a very special time for me,'
Cause I remember what a night."

OK So it was 2004 not 63 (but allow me a little licence). What an excellent night. Food, wine, beer etc,  music, dancing and great company, at what I hope is the first annual LTC Dinner and Dance.
Many thanks to Frances
for not only suggesting but organising the whole thing, which I am sure everybody
enjoyed as much as I did.
I think at one stage we must of had the whole LTC party on the dance floor at the same time.
Life however always has a downside as my performance on court Saturday afternoon showed but believe me it was worth it, (never that good anyway).
Once again Frances, "Nice One"

Oh! and Frankie, thanks for the words

Saturday 13th Nov – 7.30pm Club Quiz night
Well this is the first time I have attended a club quiz night and what can I say,
food was truly amazing, and the whole event a great deal of fun. Lots of good (I think) natured rivalry.
Winning team were a right clever bunch, Sue Pennington Mike Turvey, Shelagh & Keith Linford,
Sue & Dennis Hadaway, all far to brainy for their own good
,
My personal thanks go to Tony's team for keeping our team out of last place
Lastly but not leastly ( how's that for grammar) thanks to Beryl and her team for organising a real fun night
and all the cooking, 48 meals that's a lot of work.

The Friday 30th Apr 2004 Quiz evening with Preston Squash Club was most enjoyable.  There were 26 tables of 6, and, even if we couldn't answer all the questions, our table had a good time.  The club also made over £300 profits out of the event.  The quizmaster commented that it was by far the largest turn-out they had had for a quiz.
